Abigail Treece is an artist who works in clay and wool. She makes cozy functional ceramics and whimsical tufted pillows and rugs.

In her tufted work she uses all-natural fiber yarn and sustainably sourced fabrics. She works with a tufting gun to turn her designs and drawings into functional works of art. After the tufting process is finished, a backing is applied to the rugs and pillows before they are either sewn or the rug edges are bound by hand.

In her ceramic work she uses a pottery wheel to make functional ceramic wares. After the clay has been fired once, glaze is applied using a paint brush/ The most exciting part of the process is opening the kiln after the second firing and getting to see how everything came together, no piece is ever the same.
